Position Overview

Charles Wright Academy is seeking a dedicated Private Lessons Teacher specializing in stringed instruments. This role involves providing personalized music instruction to students across various age groups and skill levels.


Key Responsibilities
  1. Deliver engaging 30-minute weekly music lessons to students from kindergarten through 12th grade, accommodating diverse abilities.
  2. Evaluate students' musical skills and knowledge during initial sessions to tailor instruction that aligns with their individual goals.
  3. Prepare students for performance recitals, assisting with necessary arrangements as needed.
  4. Foster a passion for music and learning in all students.
  5. Recognize and adapt to the diverse learning styles and abilities of students.
  6. Create and maintain a stimulating and safe learning environment.
  7. Conduct ongoing assessments of student progress and maintain accurate records.
  8. Communicate effectively with parents regarding students' performance and practice routines.
  9. Engage professionally with colleagues and administration.

Qualifications
  • Experience in private music instruction for a wide range of ages and skill levels, including advanced students.
  • Strong self-management skills and the ability to plan independently.
  • A sense of humor and a genuine passion for working with children.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Music or equivalent experience.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
