Compensation: Starting at $28.00 per hour

Shift: 1st shift from 5 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.

Position Overview

The Crane Maintenance Technician is a key role responsible for supporting the preventive and corrective maintenance of crane systems, involving electrical, electronic, and mechanical tasks. This position offers opportunities for personal and professional development, including basic metal fabrication skills such as welding and cutting. Safety is paramount, and adherence to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) protocols is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the inspection, testing, and repair of various plant equipment, including overhead cranes, hoists, and forklifts.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and comprehensive inspections on crane systems.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Perform repairs and component replacements efficiently.
  • Document service activities and maintain accurate records of equipment status.
  • Collaborate with team members to discuss equipment conditions and safety recommendations.
  • Engage in ongoing training to stay updated with industry standards.
  • Assist with basic electrical tasks and learn metal fabrication techniques.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues regarding maintenance needs.
  • Operate and maintain tools and equipment responsibly.

Important Details:
  • This role reports to the Operations Manager.
  • Domestic travel may be required occasionally.
  • Learn to read blueprints and develop troubleshooting skills.
  • Participate in safety initiatives and maintain a clean work environment.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various conditions.
  • Commitment to safety and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Pursuing an Associate's or Technical degree in a related field.
  • Experience in industrial maintenance or basic welding.
