Position Overview:
Soliant is in search of a dedicated and empathetic Educational Psychologist to become part of our team in the San Fernando area. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong dedication to enhancing students' psychological well-being and academic performance. In this role, you will work closely with educators, families, and school personnel to deliver psychological services, evaluations, and interventions aimed at fostering students' academic, social, and emotional development.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Administer psychological evaluations to assess students' cognitive, emotional, and behavioral requirements.
- Design and execute intervention plans to bolster students' mental health and educational outcomes.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and school personnel to develop and implement personalized education plans (PEPs).
- Provide both individual and group counseling to address students' social and emotional difficulties.
- Track and evaluate students' progress, modifying interventions as needed.
- Engage in PEP meetings, parent-teacher discussions, and other educational gatherings.
- Offer crisis intervention and support for students and families during critical situations.
- Ensure adherence to state and federal guidelines as well as school protocols.
- Maintain precise and confidential documentation of student interactions and evaluations.
- Champion students' mental health and welfare within the educational environment and the broader community.
Required Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Educational Psychology.
- Valid licensure or credential as an Educational Psychologist in California.
- Preferred experience in an educational context as an Educational Psychologist.
- Comprehensive understanding of psychological assessment methodologies and intervention techniques.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Capacity to collaborate effectively with students, families, and educational staff.
- Demonstrated patience, empathy, and a commitment to assisting students in overcoming obstacles.
- Strong organizational and time-management capabilities.
