Position Overview

The Senior Estimation Specialist plays a crucial role in overseeing preconstruction activities, ensuring adherence to established best practices within the preconstruction team. This role is vital in driving the adoption of cutting-edge technology and innovative strategies throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborates in drafting specific work scopes
  • Develops and nurtures a robust network of stakeholders, including owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers
  • Possesses a comprehensive understanding of the Value Engineering/Value Management process and its implications on various construction elements
  • Engages in the Request for Proposal (RFP) process
  • Participates in design discussions and aids in overall project coordination and scheduling
  • Conducts individual sales interviews with trades and clients
  • Directs estimating activities for projects of all sizes and phases, including Concept, Schematic Design, and Design Development, as well as lump sum bid projects

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent professional experience
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in construction estimation is preferred
  • Proven experience in formulating and executing value engineering strategies to reduce project costs while ensuring high construction quality
  • In-depth knowledge of various trades, including scope, timelines, field execution, and potential risks
  • Demonstrated expertise in estimating processes and delivery methods
