Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Hourly Team Lead to join our team at Dreamland BBQ. As a key member of our kitchen operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Presentation: Prepare hot and cold meals for presentation according to predetermined recipes and menus. Monitor portions, manage inventories, and maintain a sanitary kitchen work area.
  • Team Management: Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining effective cost controls, including daily and periodic inventory variances.
  • Quality Control: Inspect all kitchen surfaces to ensure that all areas are safe and sanitary. Consult with supervisory staff to plan prep, taking into consideration factors such as costs and special event needs.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that all guests have a positive dining experience.
Requirements
  • Experience: Prior experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment, preferably in a barbecue or restaurant setting.
  • Skills: Exceptional multitasking skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and ability to lift 25 lbs. or more.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
