Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a key member of our veterinary care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, assisting with medical procedures, and maintaining accurate records.
Responsibilities- Provide quality patient care under the supervision of a licensed veterinarian
- Assist with medical procedures, including laboratory, pharmacy, radiology, surgery, and dentistry
- Record accurate and detailed medical, client, and case-related information in patient files
- Review medical records, estimates, and discharge instructions with clients
- Answer client inquiries about basic animal care and routine procedures
- Participate in special cleaning duties and equipment maintenance as directed
- Proficiency in a variety of skills, including laboratory, pharmacy, radiology, surgery, and dentistry
- Ability to demonstrate patience and composure in stressful situations
- Ability to stay calm and efficient during a medical crisis
- Knowledge of commonly used prescription drugs and their side effects
- Ability to properly extubate, monitor temperature, and recover a patient from anesthesia
