About the RoleAs a Medical Support Professional, you will provide essential support to our healthcare providers by performing clinical and administrative tasks. Your role will involve preparing patients for examination, taking vital signs, and performing basic diagnostic tests.
- Greet and prepare patients for examination, including taking vital signs and medical histories.
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for further testing.
- Update and maintain patient records in electronic health record systems.
- Schedule and coordinate patient appointments, referrals, and follow-up visits.
- Handle patient inquiries, provide education on treatment plans, and assist with insurance and billing questions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A high school diploma or equivalent; an Associate s degree in Medical Assisting or a related field is preferred.
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program or certification as a Medical Assistant (e.g., CMA, RMA) is preferred.
- Previous experience in a medical or clinical setting is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and office practices.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems and basic office software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
The estimated salary for this role is $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
