Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Project Manager to lead our construction projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing overall management direction and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead project teams and coordinate with regional department heads and general superintendents to plan, organize, and staff key project positions.
  • Evaluate contractual scope of work and establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards.
  • Negotiate and prepare subcontracts, and manage all financial aspects of contracts to maintain profitability goals and positive cash flow.
  • Monitor and control project development, prepare and issue master project schedules and variance reports, and manage risks to ensure project success.
  • Develop and maintain viable long-term relationships with customers, consultants, prime contractors, and subcontractors.
Requirements
  • 8-year mechanical or electrical engineering or construction science degree (or commensurate levels of technical training and related experience).
  • Solid experience (5-7 years) and knowledge of construction design, finance, and management.
  • Proficient project management skills, including documentation, cost control, procurement, scheduling, change order pricing, and negotiating.
  • Thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, etc., and their impact on project activities.
  • OSHA-30 certification (if not currently certified, must be obtained within six months from date of hire).
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, outstanding organizational skills, and excellent MS Office skills.
