  • Help diagnose, repair, assemble, and install electrical components and systems.
  • Interpret electrical blueprints and schematics.
  • Use various tools and techniques to complete electrical tasks.
  • Identify electrical problems using testing devices.
  • Obtain price quotations on materials and submit purchasing orders for approval.
  • Utilize work order systems to record detailed handling of scheduled assignments.
  • Perform work at various heights, using ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, and catwalks.
  • Wear provided personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Currently enrolled in the GCU Electrical Apprentice Program.
  • Ability to work from various sizes and types of ladders.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow safety procedures.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with varied groups.
  • Ability to work collaboratively to solve problems and resolve unique situations.
  • Must pass pre-employment background investigation.
