Job Summary

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a highly skilled and experienced School Psychologist to join our team in a District-Wide capacity. As a key member of our educational services team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the social, emotional, and academic well-being of students across our district.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Intervention: Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to evaluate students' cognitive abilities, social-emotional functioning, and academic skills. Develop and implement effective intervention plans and strategies for students with diverse learning and behavioral needs.
  • Counseling and Support: Provide individual and group counseling to students, addressing social, emotional, and behavioral concerns. Offer crisis intervention and support to students and families during challenging situations.
  • Collaboration and Consultation: Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop and implement effective strategies and interventions to enhance classroom management, positive behavior support, and academic success. Provide consultation and professional development to teachers, administrators, and parents on topics related to student mental health, learning disabilities, and behavior management.
  • Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, interventions, and progress.
Requirements
  • Education and Licensure: Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field. Valid licensure or certification as a School Psychologist in Illinois (MUST HAVE PEL).
  • Experience: Previous experience working as a School Psychologist in a school or district setting is preferred.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Strong knowledge of assessment tools and techniques used in school psychology.
