About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented CT Technologist to join our team. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing computed tomography procedures, utilizing proper techniques and administration of contrast media. You will work under your scope of practice and in accordance with certificate/licensure in the administration of medications, operation of equipment, and venipuncture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform CT procedures of diagnostic quality as ordered by the referring physician and/or radiologist on patients of all ages according to established protocols and evaluates CT studies for technical image quality.
  • Obtain clinical history and data for correlation with the CT procedure.
  • Implement screening and safety measures in accordance with prescribed CT policies / procedures. Perform daily and weekly QC as required.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media to the patient according to policy. Practice sterile techniques.
  • Assist Radiologist in special procedures and in performing medical treatment during emergency situations.
  • Coordinate patient care with other areas in order to optimize patient time and satisfaction.
  • Assess learning needs and educate patients/families regarding procedures based on individual needs. Thoroughly educate patients about exam.
  • Ensure that all records, files and reports are properly recorded as required, perform clerical duties when necessary, verify a signed physician order is received and corresponds with the billed procedure.
  • Maintain knowledge of the locations and operation of all emergency equipment in the unit.
  • Follow radiation safety policies and procedures.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of computed tomography procedures and protocols. You will also need to be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and maintain accurate records.
