Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Siemens Healthineers. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of technical procedures that require a high degree of independent judgment and initiative in the utilization of radionuclides for the diagnosis and therapy of disease in humans.

Responsibilities:
  • Receive and care for patients during clinical procedures, verifying patient identification and reviewing orders for procedures to be performed.
  • Recognize and respond appropriately to emergency situations, maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients.
  • Obtain pertinent patient history and check for procedural contradictions, ensuring accurate and effective treatment.
  • Operate auxiliary equipment necessary for procedures, maintaining and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and families, providing clear and concise information about procedures and outcomes.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, selecting and administering the proper radionuclide/medication by the proper route and in the appropriate dosage.
  • Prepare instruments, computers, and imaging protocols as indicated by departmental procedure manuals, ensuring accurate and efficient procedures.
  • Evaluate image appearance and perform additional views as required, processing and evaluating computer-generated data.
  • Obtain samples for non-imaging studies, preparing and administering interventional pharmacologic agents as directed by protocol.
  • Maintain sterile technique as required, performing imaging, non-imaging, function studies, and therapeutic exams according to established departmental protocols.
Requirements:
  • Certification Program - Graduate of accredited Nuclear Medicine technology school
  • 1-year nuclear medicine experience
  • ARRT(N) or NMTCB registry
  • ARRT (CT) and CPR registered and/or NMTCB registered
  • SCRQSA License
