Job Overview

We are currently seeking dedicated individuals for the role of Catering Captain. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring that all catering events are executed flawlessly.

Position Details
  • Location: Occasions Caterers
  • Schedule: On-call; shifts will vary based on operational needs, offering flexibility.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years in a serving role or 1 year in a leadership capacity is preferred.
  • Compensation: $32.00 per hour.
    *Internal Employee Referral Bonus Available
Key Responsibilities

The Catering Captain is responsible for coordinating the catering staff's schedules to ensure timely delivery, service, and clearing of all functions. The role includes:

  • Assessing workload requirements based on catering orders.
  • Collaborating with event leaders to finalize setup arrangements and address any last-minute changes.
  • Providing excellent customer service and resolving any complaints.
  • Ensuring a thorough understanding of menu items.
  • Guiding staff on expectations for catered events.
  • Assisting in the setup of venues according to specifications.
  • Delivering food and supplies to designated locations.
  • Serving food and beverages to guests.
  • Returning leftover food and equipment to the catering facility.
  • Maintaining proper presentation and serving temperatures, adhering to HACCP standards.
  • Ensuring cleanliness and orderliness of all equipment and supplies.
  • Following approved recipes and production standards for food preparation.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • A valid driver's license may be necessary. Must be able to obtain a valid food handler's permit and/or alcohol servers permit as required by state law.
