Job Description

As a Cardiac Cath Lab Imaging Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to assist physicians during invasive cardiovascular procedures. You will operate specialized imaging equipment to obtain high-quality images of the heart and blood vessels, ensuring accurate diagnosis and treatment planning for patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and position patients for cardiac catheterization procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the process.">
• Operate fluoroscopy equipment to visualize and guide catheter placement within the heart and blood vessels, working closely with cardiologists to ensure optimal image quality.">
• Monitor patient vital signs and provide assistance during procedures, adhering to radiation safety protocols and regulatory standards.">
• Perform equipment maintenance and troubleshoot technical issues as needed, ensuring minimal downtime and maximizing efficiency.">
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive patient care, including communicating effectively with nurses, anesthesiologists, and other medical staff.">
• Participate in on-call rotation schedules as required, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.">

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications:

• An Associate degree or equivalent from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.">
• A current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification and California Radiologic Technologist license.">
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab setting, preferably with advanced knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and pathology.">
• Proficiency in operating fluoroscopy equipment and image acquisition systems, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.">
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, with ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification preferred.">
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays, with a commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.">
