Job Description

The Waste Treatment Specialist operates the waste treatment system, packages and prepares waste for disposal, receives incoming material, stocks and performs monitoring and testing, and performs preventive maintenance on the waste treatment system.

The role involves supervising the running and maintenance of all Wet Lab equipment, maintaining relationships with Production Operators, Technicians, Waste Treatment, and Engineering teams.

The specialist will be responsible for effectively performing and reporting chemical analysis results through lab software, tracking chemical analysis results in SPC software, and identifying trends.

Key responsibilities include Tag-out of process lines for chemical out-of-spec conditions, making chemical adds on weekends as needed, and interfacing with suppliers of test equipment for maintenance and software support needs.

The role requires determining appropriate test methods and proper analysis techniques based on specific process chemistry, ensuring proper safety requirements and practices are being followed by all persons in the lab areas.

A strong focus on accurate and complete documentation of all test methods is essential, along with resolving problems related to data collection and distribution.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to understand basic chemistry
• Understanding of Hazardous Waste operations
• Basic maintenance skills
• Basic computer skills
• 1 year experience in manufacturing, PCB preferred

Estimated Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per annum
