Nurse Coordinator

Job Summary:
Under the direction of the director, this RN Specialty Clinic Coordinator will supervise the functions of the team, assist with delegated projects, and assume managerial responsibilities including supervision and evaluation of patient care and nursing employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assumes responsibility for clinical resources and coordinates preceptor activities.
- Assists in development, implementation, and evaluation of unit-specific systems/activities.
- Coordinates activities between shifts and clinical areas to ensure continuity of patient care.
- Provides clinical patient care to patients within scope of licensure and practice.
Requirements:
- Possesses effective oral and written communication skills.
- Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish).
- Ability to read and comprehend English at a level necessary to follow written and oral instructions and safety precautions.
- Ability to supervise and evaluate assigned staff.
- Ability to foster and facilitate effective working relationships and team building.
- Ability to negotiate and resolve conflict.
- Willingness to accept and manage change.
- Ability to analyze situations and solve problems.
- Skilled in the use of computer systems and related software applications.
Education and Experience:
- Three years of experience as a Registered Nurse preferably in a clinic setting or in a charge nurse role.
- Current license as a Registered Nurse.
- CPR (by the American Heart Association).
- ACLS & PALS.
