Position Overview:
As a CNC Machining Programmer, you will be responsible for developing N/C programs for the fabrication of CNC machined components, CNC router parts, and tooling.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate expertise in CATIA V5/6 and/or Mastercam X7 or newer to design cutting paths and program for 2 to 5 axis machinery.
  • Review blueprints, engineering models, and electronic control tools prior to programming, ensuring alignment with original specifications.
  • Efficiently program, test, and modify machine cutting paths or settings to enhance production efficiency while upholding quality standards.
  • Balance material removal rates to optimize throughput while meeting surface finish and key feature quality requirements.
  • Select appropriate machine types (2 to 5 axes), tooling needs, and cutting tool specifications based on material types.
  • Reverse engineer components to create tools and models, ensuring thoroughness and completeness to verify safety and usability before production.
  • Meet deadlines consistently and collaborate effectively with team members or work independently as required.
  • Provide time estimates for parts and train others when necessary.
  • Work closely with CNC machine operators to support tool proving initiatives.
  • Utilize verification software, such as Vericut, to validate posted program code before releasing it for production.
  • Implement cutting-edge tooling technology.

Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent certification is required; a bronze level WorkKeys certification is also acceptable. A two-year vocational training is preferred.
  • Experience: Enrollment in an N/C Programming curriculum at a recognized institution or two years of experience programming N/C equipment offline in a recognized CAD/CAM system is necessary.

Working Conditions:
Exposure to grease and noise may present somewhat disagreeable working conditions.
