Pharmacy Technician Supervisor Job Description

PharMerica is a leading provider of pharmacy services to senior living communities, skilled nursing facilities, and post-acute care organizations. We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician Supervisor to join our team.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and guide the orientation, training, and evaluation of Pharmacy Technicians.
  • Oversee pharmacy technician workflow and scheduling.
  • Provide structure, direction, and feedback to pharmacy technician staff.
  • Fills prescription items, packaging medications for dispensing and delivery.
  • Prepares medications, including emulsions, liquids, powders, and ointments.
  • Manage inventory functions, including monitoring pharmaceutical levels and identifying expired medications.
  • Input patient data and medication orders into a computer system.
  • Maintain equipment and ensure technician adherence to local, state, and federal regulations.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in an LTC pharmacy setting and leadership experience.
  • Basic understanding of drugs, medication terminology, and metric system.
  • Ability to operate a computer and workflow management skills.
