Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Front Desk Associate to join our team at Central Indiana Orthopedics. The successful candidate will be responsible for scheduling, coordinating, and rescheduling patient appointments accurately, as well as ensuring that all necessary paperwork and forms are completed and scanned into the patient record.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule and coordinate patient appointments, including rescheduling and cancellations
  • Ensure accurate scanning of forms and paperwork into the patient record
  • Receive and apply payments from patients, issue receipts, and reconcile daily cash
  • Maintain strict confidentiality in all situations
  • Participate in professional development activities and maintain applicable certifications
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Minimum high school diploma or GED required
  • At least one year of previous administrative or secretarial experience preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and experience with processing insurance preferred
Working Conditions

The standard work environment is an office setting, requiring sitting for long periods of time and viewing and typing on a computer for extended periods. Occasional bending, lifting, and reaching may be required to deal with files, paper, and supplies. Manual dexterity is necessary to operate standard office equipment regularly. Vision and hearing must be correctable to 20/20 for telephone contacts and interactions with staff, physicians, and the public.
