About the Role

The YMCA of Metropolitan Detroit is a non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening the foundation of community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. As a Site Supervisor for our Afterschool Programs, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality programs that meet State of Michigan Care Licensing requirements and YMCA practices and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and support a team of Site Leads and Site Assistants to deliver exceptional Afterschool and Enrichment programs.
  • Develop and implement program curriculum and activities that promote learning and fun for children.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy environment for children, including maintaining equipment and supplies.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, schools, and community groups to build strong relationships and promote program success.
  • Collaborate with the Accounting department to manage program budgets and ensure timely collection of tuition and fees.
Requirements
  • 2 years of experience in recreational education or childcare setting.
  • Experience in early childhood, leadership, or recreation is required.
  • Education and credentials must meet State of Michigan School Age and Childcare Licensing requirements.
