Overview

The City of Austin Parks and Recreation Department is seeking an experienced Administrative Specialist to join our team. This role will provide administrative support to our Cemeteries Division and require strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative assistance on high-priority tasks and projects.
  • Handle confidential documents and verify accuracy and completeness of records.
  • Assist with planning and coordinating events and meetings.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with major coursework in Business or Public Administration.
  • Four years of experience in a professional or administrative capacity.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Administrative experience in supporting managerial staff in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of cemetery operations and procedures.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Estimated Salary Range

$65,000 - $85,000 per year.
