As a Mechanical Engineer in our Buildings Group, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of building projects, including designing HVAC systems, plumbing systems, fire protection systems, and whole building energy modeling. You will also be responsible for coordinating with other support disciplines and regional offices. Assisting project managers in the management of projects is another key aspect of this role. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of mechanical engineering and sustainability principles. Experience in interfacing with clients on project design, delivery, and construction is essential. Additionally, you should be proficient in utilizing BIM design software and Microsoft Excel based calculation tools. Managing multiple assignments concurrently and being responsible for time management and product quality are crucial skills required for this position.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design HVAC systems, plumbing systems, fire protection systems, and whole building energy modeling
  • Coordinate with other support disciplines and regional offices
  • Assist project managers in managing projects
  • Utilize BIM design software and Microsoft Excel based calculation tools

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or architectural engineering with a mechanical focus from an ABET accredited university or college
  • Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering exam
  • 5-10 years of building design and construction industry experience
  • Knowledge of mechanical engineering principals related to building mechanical designs
  • Proven experience overseeing mechanical designs, including detailed plans and specifications for building projects

Salary Information
This role offers a highly competitive salary package of $90,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience.
