Job Title: Part Time-Vascular Sonographer/Ultrasound Technologist

Raleigh Radiology is seeking a skilled Part Time-Vascular Sonographer/Ultrasound Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality ultrasound and vascular studies, as well as assisting in vascular procedures alongside our Radiologist and Physician Assistant.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate patient care and follow established protocols, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform ordered procedures in a safe, efficient, and professional manner.
  • Assess patient's condition and prioritize needs, setting goals and responding appropriately to meet those needs.
  • Report and record pertinent observations and reactions to care rendered.
  • Assist with specific tests and procedures as needed.
  • Participate in economical utilization of supplies and ensure equipment is always maintained and available for use.
  • Assist co-workers and physicians in giving care to patients and establish and maintain open communication.
  • Initiate emergency measures for sudden adverse occurrences in patients.
  • Cooperate with other staff members to accomplish job duties and assist others in theirs.
Requirements:
  • Graduate from an accredited school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
  • Previous experience in a busy office or hospital is preferred.
  • AHA BLS certification is required or must be obtained within the first 90 days of employment.
  • Ultrasound registry with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) must be achieved prior to hiring.
  • ARDMS with RVT is preferred for Sonographers performing vascular exams.
Desired Skills:
  • Basic patient care skills, including first aid and CPR.
  • Excellent technical skills in ultrasound.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions based on patient condition.
  • Flexibility, dependability, and professionalism required.
