Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Technician Class B to join our team at Performance Foodservice.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to work with a reputable company, offering a safe and inclusive working environment. As a Diesel Mechanic Technician Class B, you will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, and overhaul of our fleet's diesel equipment, ensuring safe operation for our associates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and refrigeration units to ensure they are in proper operating condition.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, battery checks, and lubrication of equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair complex issues with diesel equipment using computerized diagnostics and electronic troubleshooting techniques.
  • Train and guide junior mechanics in their roles.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of experience in medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair.
  • Proven skills in preventative maintenance, tire and wheel repair, air and air disc brake diagnosis, computerized diagnostics, and electrical troubleshooting.
