ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned.
Reports to Plant Manager - Receives, tests,releases for use, and unloads Ammonium Nitrate solution from railcars ortrailers. - Monitors, records, and maintains the operation of a nitrous oxideproduction facility with in Standards of Control - Troubleshoots and correctsproduction conditions that are outside of the Standards of Control - Collectsproduct samples from storage tanks - Uses validated analytical methods and gaschromatography to determine product conformance to written standards - Compilesbatch production records, performs tests, and prepares Storage Tank ConformanceReports - Releases Conformed storage tanks for use following review by QualityControl - Samples returned bulk trailers for suitability to standards andreleases trailers for reloading - Reports non-conforming trailer to plantmanager - Loads bulk trailers - Takes samples, performs tests, and preparesCertificates of Analysis for loaded trailers. - Releases trailers fordistribution following review by Quality Control - Performs scrubber solutionmaintenance and documents action - Performs dryer maintenance and documentsaction - Receives chemicals, parts and components, in accordance to publishedprocedures - Demonstrates ability to start up the plant and to shut down theplant under normal and emergency conditions - Assists in plant maintenance -Assists in development of operating procedures - Maintains personal compliancewith FDA, DOT, OSHA EPA and other governmental regulations - Complies withMatheson‘s Medical Procedures; Safety Procedures and Environmental Procedures -Receives customer complaints and begins response process - Perform otherprojects and duties as assigned.

PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT: - Increases knowledge of the organization, it‘s policies, procedures; order fulfillment process, product lines and strategic plans
TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION: - High School diploma or equivalent - Must be able to perform mathematical exercises of moderate complexity - Able to read, write and speak English - Able to pay attention to details - Aims for total accuracy in records and reports - Ability to determine cause and effect in plant operation - Experience in plant operation and industrial environment - Knowledge of instruments and test equipment - Basic computer skills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: - Moderate work - Climbing, stooping, turning and lifting up to I 00 lbs. possible - May be required to work in inclement weather - May be required to spend a great deal of time on his/her feet - May be required to wear respirator - May be required to work shifts - May be required to work alone on weekends and on back shifts
