Valiant Integrated Services is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Senior IT Systems Specialist to contribute to our dedicated team. This role involves providing essential support to the Army Training Aids, Devices, Simulators, and Simulations (TADSS) Maintenance Program, particularly within the Aerial Gunnery Range (AGR). Our operations leverage the expertise of top-tier systems integration and engineering firms to enhance live, virtual, and constructive (LVC) training support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning and scheduling of work requirements, conducting briefings and site tours for senior officials and training units.
- Perform pre-event testing and evaluations to identify and resolve network issues, ensuring optimal performance.
- Ensure compliance with program, company, and government policies and procedures.
- Coordinate the maintenance and support of audio-visual systems.
- Maintain proficiency with relevant company products and technologies.
- Compile and file monthly reports detailing utilization, training conducted, soldier participation, and any customer concerns.
- Stay updated on TADSS to provide effective train-the-trainer support during exercises.
- Develop integration plans, manage hardware integrations, and maintain documentation for schematics and modifications.
- Ensure systems meet specified operational readiness standards.
- Document all maintenance activities in the Management Information System (MIS).
- Assist in the upkeep of government and contractor property, tools, and testing equipment.
- Conduct inspections and maintain accountability of property.
- Perform security audits, built-in tests, and system diagnostics.
- Administer, develop, and maintain network and related software.
- Implement necessary security updates.
- Configure network and communication devices to function within designated networks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software, operating system, and networking issues.
- Provide necessary developmental and safety training for associates.
- May supervise and manage administrative, logistical, personnel, and safety-related tasks.
- Prepare reports as required and participate in special projects.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Ability to obtain and maintain an active US Secret security clearance.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and post driving privileges.
- An associate degree in computer science or a related IT field, or 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft, Linux, or Solaris operating systems and networking.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background investigation.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related IT field.
- Previous experience with WFF/ATMP is preferred but not mandatory.
