Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented General Clerk Lead to join our team at Katmai. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our Warriors in the Recruit Sustainment Program (RSP).

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage administrative functions in support of RSP, including data entry, quality control, and reporting.
  • Interview Warriors on administrative, medical, educational, and other topics as needed.
  • Monitor recruits for potential retention issues and assist in mitigating those issues or processing them for separation.
  • Assist in the management of IET ship dates within prescribed timeframes to ensure maximum training seat utilization.
  • Provide qualitative screening to ensure recruits are administratively correct.
  • Communicate with IADT Manager, MEPS Guidance Counselors, and TRADOC Liaisons regarding IADT Warriors issues.
  • Maintain the Vulcan Application and perform daily input/reporting to actions relating to Warriors and training.
  • Provide quality control for all documentation in the Warriors shipper packet.
  • Maintain employment eligibility training/certification requirements.
  • Upload shipper documents into Vulcan.
  • Monitor Warriors at training using the ATRRS tab in Vulcan for "Pending Actions" and report issues.
  • Provide Vulcan and DPRO reports as needed/requested.
  • Oversee the work of assigned General Clerk III's.
  • Compile and complete all reporting for assigned states.
  • Review and approve timesheets for General Clerk III's.
Requirements
  • Possess a current NACI Investigation.
  • One to two years of related experience or a combination of education to successfully perform the duties of the position.
  • Intermediate knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Knowledgeable in Army National Guard enlisted programs and benefits.
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Must obtain and maintain any necessary security access and/or background checks.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
  • Exceedingly well organized and flexible.
  • Ability to interact with a wide variety of staff.
  • Ability to deal with confidential information.
  • Ability to reason and analyze problems and work on solutions.
  • Recruiting and Retention or Military Unit Administration is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Shipper Quality Control, Vulcan Input, and the administrative processes of the National Guard Recruiting is preferred.
Work Environment

Work is primarily performed in a professional office setting, including the normal office equipment (e.g., computer, fax machines, copier) and with a wide variety of people in differing functions, personalities, and abilities.

Frequent sitting, using hands/fingers, handling, reaching with hands and arms, talking, hearing, and occasional walking or standing, occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs.
