Job Overview:
This position is exclusively for weekend shifts from 6 am to 6 pm.

Role:
Mechanical Assembly Technician

Location:
Rocky Mount, NC 27804

Compensation:
$22.00 per hour

Vision Assessment:
Completion required within the first week of employment.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct standard testing procedures on equipment and document results.
2. Utilize precision tools for assembly, inspection, calibration, and testing of fuel controls.
3. Adhere to Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations.
4. Follow electronic work instructions, blueprints, and quality standards.
5. Inspect components for quality and report any defects.
6. Maintain accurate documentation and records.
7. Organize work areas and tools according to Visual Management and 5S Standards.
8. Be available for overtime, including weekends.
9. Engage in daily Tier meetings, continuous improvement initiatives, and problem-solving activities.

Qualifications:
1. Must be a US Citizen.
2. High School Diploma required.
3. Experience in mechanical and technical fields.
4. Proficient in computer skills (MS Office, internet navigation).
5. Ability to follow detailed instructions and interpret blueprints.
6. Familiarity with precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, etc.).
7. Intermediate math skills.
8. Capability to lift over 30 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications:
1. 2-3 years of experience in assembly/test manufacturing.
2. NC WorkKeys Career Readiness Certificate (Silver/Gold preferred).
3. Six Sigma training or certification.
4. Associate degree.
5. Strong troubleshooting abilities.
6. Effective teamwork and communication skills.
7. Commitment to 5-S principles.
8. Experience in continuous improvement practices.

Special Considerations:
Exposure to machinery, chemicals, biological, or other physical hazards.
Steel-toe shoes are mandatory.
On-the-job training will occur during first shift hours.

Additional Information:
Only local candidates will be considered (within 50 miles).
No relocation benefits are offered.
