Central Processing/Phlebotomy Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a Phlebotomy and Central Processing Technician to join our medical team at Saint Alphonsus Health System. This part-time night shift position requires the ability to collect blood samples, identify patients, transport specimens, and perform clerical and computer functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect blood samples from patients of all ages
- Correctly identify patients and transport specimens
- Perform clerical and computer functions related to laboratory testing
- Utilize relevant computer programs for data entry
- Communicate effectively with patients and hospital staff
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and hospital staff
- Good working knowledge of medical terminology and computers
- Phlebotomy certification preferred
- Experience in phlebotomy in a hospital setting preferred
