KPC GLOBAL MEDICAL CENTERS INC. is seeking a skilled and experienced Nurse Manager to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, the Nurse Manager will be responsible for planning, organizing, and supervising nursing staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and supervise nursing staff to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
- Manage and report on direct patient care in major inpatient units and outpatient units.
- Provide resources and support to nursing staff to ensure they have the necessary tools and training to provide high-quality patient care.
- Collaborate with senior hospital management staff to develop and implement nursing policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with State of California Practice Nurse Act and other relevant laws and regulations.
Requirements:
- Possession of Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in an acute care setting.
- Adequate experience to demonstrate critical thinking and organizational skills in performing multiple tasks and priorities.
- Possession of a valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.
- BLS Certification.
- ACLS Certification.
- NHISS.
- Chemo Certification, PALS, NRP, FHM (unit specific).
Knowledge and Abilities:
- Knowledge of nursing processes and its application to patient care.
- Knowledge of teaching, coaching, and mentoring processes.
- Knowledge of licensure, accreditation, and regulatory requirements.
- Knowledge of personnel scheduling, group dynamics, teambuilding, and conflict management.
- Knowledge of hospital established policies, quality assurance program, safety, environmental, and infection control policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations governing professional aspects of nursing.
- Ability to learn, follow, and direct compliance with policies and procedures.
- Ability to demonstrate a consistent disposition and be objective.
- Ability to participate in the evaluation process and identify behaviors.
- Ability to complete and maintain reports and clinical records.
- Ability to monitor critical practice indicators.
- Ability to identify opportunities for improvement and guide the implementation of action plans.
- Ability to set, communicate, and monitor performance standards and expectations.
- Ability to teach, coach, and mentor skillfully.
- Ability to manage time effectively and make sound decisions using problem-solving skills.
- Ability to use productive group dynamics to achieve teamwork.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers.
- Ability to keep abreast of developments in area of nursing specialization.
