Job Title: Charge Nurse

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Charge Nurse to join our team at KPC GLOBAL MEDICAL CENTERS INC. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and supervising nursing staff, as well as managing and providing resources for direct patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and supervise nursing staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Manage and provide resources for direct patient care, including personnel scheduling and conflict resolution.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in the evaluation process and demonstrate ability to identify behaviors that impact patient care.
  • Complete and maintain reports and clinical records, and monitor critical practice indicators.

Requirements:

  • Possession of Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum 2 years as a Registered Nurse, preferably in an acute care setting.
  • Possession of a valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.
  • BLS Certification and ACLS Certification.

Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Nursing processes and its application to patient care.
  • Teaching, coaching, and mentoring processes.
  • Licensure, accreditation, and regulatory requirements.
  • Personnel scheduling, group dynamics, teambuilding, and conflict management, problem-solving, and management techniques.

Working Conditions:

This position requires a consistent disposition, able to be objective, and participate in the evaluation process. The successful candidate will be required to work week-end rotation and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers.
