Job Title: National Pharmaceutical Account Director

Walgreens is seeking a highly skilled National Pharmaceutical Account Director to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strategic partnerships with global biopharmaceutical manufacturers to enhance our competitiveness in the market and establish Walgreens as the retail and specialty pharmacy of choice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and foster relationships with global pharmaceutical manufacturers to establish and expand alliances in both the retail and specialty distribution markets.
  • Lead the process for gaining access to limited distribution drugs (LDD) for Specialty Pharmacy with assigned manufacturers.
  • Develop specific acquisition and adherence strategies for retail prescription products in collaboration with internal support teams and manufacturer partners.
  • Negotiate and contract with pharmaceutical manufacturers for service programs in the retail and specialty arenas, ensuring that the appropriate partnerships with Purchasing and Supply Chain are recognized.
  • Collaborate with manufacturer trade relations and brand teams to proactively identify business opportunities and implement tactics to establish enterprise-wide business relationships.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree and at least 6 years of experience in account management in the pharmaceutical industry or trade relations.
  • Experience collaborating with both internal and external resources to develop strategies that meet department goals within budget and established timelines.
  • Experience developing strategic initiatives which align with business goals and budget.
  • Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • At least 5 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace.
  • At least 5 years of direct leadership, indirect leadership, and/or cross-functional team leadership.
