The Student Learning Support Specialist within the University Transfer & Advising Division offers vital support to program chairs, lead instructors, directors, and other personnel.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily operational and project support for University Transfer division department chairs, directors, lead instructors, and related staff.
- Offer general assistance to faculty, students, and staff.
- Assist with administrative tasks related to the Career and College Promise Program.
- Support the production and processing of contracts for overload and adjunct instructors.
- Verify timesheets and payroll for a limited number of academic assistance staff.
- Facilitate course creation and editing in Datatel Colleague.
- Assist with division events, including advisory board meetings and open houses.
- Occasionally cover the College switchboard.
- Maintain proficiency in technical support and assist faculty and students with college applications (e.g., Microsoft Word, Publisher, Excel, Datatel, WebAdvisor, E-Procurement, Eforms, Google Docs, AVISO).
- Direct students, faculty, and staff to appropriate college resources.
- Assist with meeting minutes for departmental and college-wide meetings.
- Help prepare instructor evaluations.
- Assign and enter instructors for each semester course in Datatel as designated.
- Stay updated on Career and College Promise Program policies and procedures.
- Monitor and track course syllabi in shared folders for Division Programs.
- Assist with the collection of general education competency data.
- Support faculty in verifying student eligibility for classes.
- Track missing documents and involve relevant personnel as needed.
- Assist with scheduling interviews for new employees.
- Facilitate division-wide communication to faculty and students.
- Coordinate promotional information and marketing with division leadership.
- Manage phone calls, take messages, and respond to routine inquiries.
- Submit records and forms promptly as required by policy.
- Encourage and support College activities, policies, and philosophies.
- Actively participate in professional organizations.
- Complete required staff development activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
