Position Overview

Compensation: $15.00 to $17.50 per hour

The Healthcare Coordination Assistant will provide essential support to the Medical Coordinator by ensuring that all medical appointment documentation is reviewed accurately and promptly for each individual served by Chrysalis. This role includes updating medical histories, insurance details, and other pertinent medical information in the system as required.

The Assistant will also play a key role in scheduling medical appointments, informing relevant residential and day service managers about these appointments, and coordinating transportation for individuals to and from their medical visits.

Additionally, the Healthcare Coordination Assistant will be responsible for ensuring that necessary follow-up appointments are arranged in a timely manner. Communication with parents, guardians, pharmacies, state coordinators, Behavior Analysts, and Associate Directors regarding any changes made during appointments may also be required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing and updating medical records and documentation.
  • Coordinate the scheduling of medical appointments and follow-ups.
  • Communicate effectively with various stakeholders regarding medical appointments.
  • Support the Nurse and/or Medical Coordinator with various medical tasks as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must obtain and maintain certifications in CPR, First Aid, OSHA, Human Rights, ANEM, SOAR, and any other required training.
  • Pass a Criminal History Check.
  • Meet driving policy requirements and maintain eligible driving status.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and be at least 21 years of age.
  • Education: High School diploma or GED.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with colleagues and individuals.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and other basic computer applications.
  • Exhibit professional phone etiquette and public relations skills.
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational and writing abilities.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in the medical or disability field is preferred.
