As a member of our pharmacy staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the development of our pharmacy services.
About the Role
The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for delivering high-quality patient care and a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement evidence-based medication therapy plans that meet the unique needs of our patients.
Responsibilities
- Provide accurate and timely responses to drug information and consultation problems using research, interpretive, and writing skills
- Assist in planning, organization, implementation, monitoring, and enforcement of Pharmacy Services policies
- Participate in patient, student, and staff teaching programs to promote medication safety and adherence
- Contribute to drug utilization review activities to optimize medication use and minimize waste
- Perform clinical pharmacy services as needed, including pharmacokinetic consultations and medication reconciliation
- Accept on-call responsibilities to provide 24/7 coverage for our patients
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in pharmacy required
- Current Pennsylvania licensure or eligibility required
- Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
Benefits
Penn State Health offers a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
