Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at Christus Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals, and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care plans
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Participate in emergency situations, including trauma care and life-saving procedures
  • Document patient information, including medical history, treatment plans, and patient outcomes
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of safety and excellence
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing
  • One year of experience in nursing, preferably in an emergency department or critical care setting
  • Current RN licensure in the state of Texas
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
