Teaching Opportunity at Success Academy

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate teacher to join our team at Success Academy, a network of high-performing public charter schools in New York City. As a teacher in our network, you will play a critical role in shaping the educational experience of our students and contributing to our mission of providing a fun, rigorous, and whole-child education to every student, regardless of zip code or economic status.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and align with curriculum standards.
  • Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and technologies to enhance student learning and engagement.
  • Manage a classroom of 20+ students, creating a productive and inclusive learning environment.
Assessment and Evaluation:
  • Assess student progress through assignments, tests, and observations, providing timely feedback and support to help students improve.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress, using data to inform instruction and drive student growth.
Classroom Management:
  • Establish and enforce classroom rules and procedures to maintain a safe and respectful learning environment.
Communication and Collaboration:
  • Communicate regularly with students, parents, and guardians regarding academic progress and behavioral issues, fostering strong relationships and a sense of community.
  • Collaborate with other teachers, staff, and administration to support student success and drive school-wide initiatives.

Requirements:
  • A bachelor's degree before your first day of work with Success Academy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for learning and commitment to student development.
  • Ability to work in person in New York City, with a stipend available for qualified relocations.
