Senior Manager, Software Engineering, Back End

At Capital One, we're seeking a seasoned Senior Manager, Software Engineering, Back End to lead our team of developers in creating innovative solutions that drive business growth. As a key member of our engineering team, you'll be responsible for leading a portfolio of diverse technology projects and collaborating with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions that drive powerful experiences for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of developers in designing and implementing cloud-based solutions that meet regulatory needs
  • Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver solutions that drive business growth
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and participate in internal and external technology communities
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers to help them grow in their careers

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • At least 6 years of professional software engineering experience
  • At least 1 year of experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
  • At least 4 years of people management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 9+ years of experience in software engineering
  • 3+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service
  • 4+ years of experience in open source frameworks
