About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Optum. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting the pharmacy operations and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dispensing and Filling Prescriptions: You will be responsible for accurately filling and dispensing prescriptions to patients, ensuring that all medications are properly labeled and packaged.
  • Inventory Management: You will be responsible for ordering, receiving, and storing pharmacy supplies, as well as maintaining accurate inventory records.
  • Customer Service: You will provide exceptional customer service to patients, answering questions and addressing concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Communication: You will work closely with pharmacists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
  • Compliance: You will ensure that all pharmacy operations are in compliance with federal and state regulations, as well as Optum's policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Active Pharmacy Technician License: You must have an active and unrestricted pharmacy technician license in the state of Minnesota.
  • Experience: You must have at least 6 months of experience as a pharmacy technician, with a strong understanding of pharmacy operations and procedures.
  • Communication Skills: You must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate with patients, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders.
