AI Governance Specialist

The World Economic Forum is seeking an AI Governance Specialist to join our team in San Francisco. This role will play a crucial part in supporting the development and dissemination of content related to Data and AI, as well as coordination and community building efforts.
As an AI Governance Specialist, you will collaborate closely with technology practice leads across the Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution to drive initiative delivery, community building, and engagement with constituents in the development of new globally oriented technology, policy, and governance frameworks.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and maintain initiative plans and timelines that support the platform, and coordinate tasks, due dates, and milestones in concert with the team's objectives.
- Assist in community building efforts through effective communication and engagement with current and prospective partners.
- Drive effective initiative coordination, through a highly collaborative approach and effective initiative and process management, communication, and reporting.
- Analyze complex policy issues to contribute to team deliverables and presentations based on those issues, track initiative progress, and collaborate with team to plan next steps.
- Collaborate with the Events team to manage event logistics for Thematic, Regional, and Annual Forum meetings (both virtual and in-person), external workshops, and stakeholder meetings organized by the team.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required. Master's degree in International Policy and Development, Technology Policy, Public Administration, or related fields preferred.
- Two years of experience in work related to Data and AI ecosystems and/or policy. Technical experience is a plus.
- Strategic and creative skills in project management, community management, research, writing, and presentation.
- Knowledge of and interest in technology and the Data and AI ecosystems, including key governing bodies, decision makers, and leading private sector companies operating in the space.
- Experience working on matters involving administrative and coordination support.
- Demonstrated ability to work across different cultures and with high-level officials and executives.
