Position Overview:

As a Senior Hydraulic Systems Supervisor at Argus Technical, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the assembly and maintenance of fluid power systems. Your expertise will guide a team of technicians to ensure that all operations meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead and mentor a team of fluid power assembly technicians, ensuring adherence to best practices and safety protocols to optimize the assembly process.

2. Develop and manage daily production schedules to align with customer demands, proactively addressing any potential challenges to meet expectations.

3. Execute assigned tasks promptly and accurately, following detailed work orders and schematics to fulfill industry and customer standards.

4. Assess fluid power shop documentation for accuracy and completeness, providing constructive feedback to engineering for enhancements.

5. Collaborate with the Production Manager and engineering teams to maintain up-to-date documentation standards.

6. Identify opportunities for improving equipment utilization and facility layout to enhance workflow efficiency and safety.

7. Ensure a conducive working environment by recommending necessary equipment upgrades to boost productivity and safety.

8. Provide insights on optimal inventory levels for frequently used materials to support operational efficiency.

9. Fulfill fluid power technician responsibilities as required to achieve departmental goals and timelines.

10. Report any equipment issues to relevant personnel and perform minor repairs as necessary.

11. Uphold company policies and procedures, with a strong emphasis on safety regulations.

12. Engage in additional initiatives that contribute to the overall objectives of Argus Technical as opportunities arise.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical documents, including safety guidelines and operational manuals.

- Strong mathematical skills, capable of performing calculations related to various measurements and proportions.

- Excellent problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to navigate complex situations with limited standardization.

- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software tools.

- A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in fluid power systems, complemented by a high school diploma or equivalent; leadership experience is a plus.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

This position requires regular use of hands and arms, along with the ability to stand, walk, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. The work environment may involve exposure to various industrial conditions, necessitating the use of personal protective equipment.
