Job Summary

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth and profitability in the Central Region. This role involves managing key accounts, developing strategic customer relationships, and executing sales plans to achieve assigned targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with customers through regular meetings, phone calls, and Microsoft Teams sessions.
  • Develop and execute sales plans to achieve top-line sales volume and return on sales targets.
  • Oversee and guide broker resources to achieve shared goals and objectives.
  • Design and implement account-specific trade programs and pricing strategies to meet company volume and profit objectives.
  • Manage customer deductions and collaborate with the sales finance team to maintain deduction balances within acceptable levels.
  • Communicate with the customer service team regarding orders, shortages, and transportation issues.
  • Submit weekly sales reports and maintain trade accrual budgets and rates.
Requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Established history of fostering strong relationships with customers, brokers, and vendors.
  • Thorough understanding of the entire sales cycle, particularly within the food processing industry.
  • Capability to analyze and interpret syndicated data effectively.
  • Skilled in analyzing sales performance data to formulate actionable recommendations.
  • Demonstrated success in executing strategic plans to drive sales volume and margin growth.
  • Proven ability to influence, collaborate, and engage with stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
  • Experience in sales planning, forecasting, and execution, showcasing a track record of success.
  • Firm knowledge of the products and the competition within the category.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite, TELUS Trade Tool, and SAP or other ERP systems.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of sales experience is required.
  • Background in managing and cultivating broker relationships.
  • Prior work experience in industries such as Manufacturing, Food Manufacturing, or Retail is preferred.
Working Conditions

Work is performed in an office environment with telephones, personal computers, and printers. The noise level of the environment is usually moderate. Sedentary position, when not traveling with seldom to occasional lifting of less than 25 pounds. May require standing less than or equal to 1/3 of the day. Ability to collaborate virtually with stakeholders across multiple time zones. Willingness and ability to travel up to 70% of the time, inclusive of travel overnight.
