Staff Pharmacist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Staff Pharmacist to join our team at Medicap Pharmacy in Indianola, IA.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide exceptional patient care by filling prescriptions, counseling patients, and supervising Pharmacy Technicians.
- Ensure all services comply with professional standards and applicable laws.
- Interpret written prescriptions, check for drug interactions and allergies, and enter prescription and patient data into the computer system.
- Serve patients by counseling over the phone and in person, conveying pertinent information regarding medication usage.
- Review inventory daily, place orders for medications as necessary, and maintain adequate supplies without overstocking.
- Ensure proper billing occurs when the pharmacist on duty, in compliance with insurance plans, CMS, and/or board of pharmacy.
- Counsel patients to ensure understanding of their treatment program and treatment goals.
- Maintain current state pharmacy license and working knowledge of the computer and cash register.
- Control operational expenses and maximize sales to maintain store competitiveness and profitability.
- Develop courteous and professional relationships with patients, customers, and co-workers.
- Comply with all security/loss prevention procedures and maintain a perpetual schedule II inventory.
- Complete third-party rejections and maintain daily and weekly reports.
- Ensure compliance with all company procedures and federal and state laws, rules, and regulations.
- Minimum Bachelor's level degree in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited Pharmacy College.
- Active and unrestricted Pharmacy license in the state.
- One to two years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
