Job Title: CASAC Counselor

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate CASAC Counselor to join our team at Mitchell Martin. As a key member of our rehabilitation process, you will play a vital role in promoting rehabilitation and providing specific assistance to our clients.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide counseling services to clients with substance use disorders, including those struggling with opioids. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans, conduct individual and group sessions, and maintain accurate documentation of client progress.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide counseling sessions to clients, adhering to all applicable regulations and agency policies.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of client records, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  • Collaborate with vocational staff to integrate rehabilitation into the overall treatment process.
  • Link clients with necessary medical and psychiatric providers, and support them in follow-through on these matters as needed.
  • Conduct intake interviews, pre-screenings, and other admission-related activities as necessary.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team conferences and meetings.
  • Conduct individual and group sessions.
  • Participate in the rotation schedule for Saturday Clinic.
  • Fulfill other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field, plus 2 years of equivalent experience, or Certified Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) certification.
  • Understanding of substance use and/or Methadone treatment, and basic counseling skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a complex team.
  • Multi-cultural sensitivity to the needs of clients in treatment.
  • Computer competence.
