Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team at K2 Staffing. As a key member of our preconstruction team, you will be responsible for supporting the estimation process for various construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare accurate and detailed quantity surveys to support project estimates.
  • Conduct independent research to gather relevant information for estimating purposes.
  • Develop complete project cost estimate packages for projects up to $5 million in complexity.
  • Attend preconstruction meetings to gain exposure to external customer interactions.
  • Solicit subcontractor proposals and discuss project scope effectively.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a construction-related field.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, estimating software, and scheduling software.
  • Careful attention to detail and resourcefulness in acquiring project-specific information.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrates ability to effectively manage multiple tasks under differing deadlines.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced office environment and occasionally visit construction sites. The position requires the ability to traverse construction terrain, climb ladders, and conduct visual inspections of quality and materials.

We offer a collaborative and supportive work environment, with a strong supervisor-employee relationship. This is a full-time position located in San Diego, CA.
