The Patient Care Assistant (PCA) is responsible for executing designated tasks related to resident care, daily living activities, and other associated responsibilities under the direct oversight of a registered nurse and the nursing manager. This role emphasizes promoting maximum independence and comfort for each resident by delivering personalized care in partnership with colleagues, residents, and their families. It is essential to support and enhance residents' strengths, capabilities for social engagement, unique values, preferences, living habits, and the autonomy of choice.

RECRUITMENT CRITERIA:
- Successful completion of the nurse aide training program as certified by the state of PA.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Flexibility in scheduling is essential.
- Ability to read, write, and follow verbal instructions.
- Willingness to act as a change agent.
- Demonstrates empathy towards residents' emotional, social, mental health, and spiritual needs.
- Prior experience in a rehabilitation setting is preferred.
LICENSE AND REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS:
Successful completion of the nurse aide training program as certified by the state of PA.
