Behavioral Health Hospital/Residential Treatment Program Director

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Behavioral Health Executive to lead our team at Sierra Vista Hospital. As Chief Executive Officer, you will be responsible for directing the day-to-day operations, managing and developing staff, ensuring high-quality care, sound fiscal operations, and maintaining a strong referral base while complying with Joint Commission and CMS regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management: Create an environment and culture that focuses on fulfilling the organization's mission, vision, and values.
- Operational Management: Oversee the operational management of clinical and non-clinical departments, including Nursing, Admissions, Business Development, Process Improvement, Finance, Clinical Services, and Regulatory Affairs.
- Quality Metrics: Ensure facility quality metrics are achieved through sound clinical processes following accreditation and regulatory agency guidelines.
- Staffing and Development: Determine staffing needs and oversee hiring, training, supervision, and evaluation of all clinical staff.
- Care and Treatment Programs: Supervise the development of comprehensive care and treatment programs.
- Community Relations: Develop positive relationships with local industry, local government, potential key healthcare providers, and the general public.
- Financial Management: Ensure the timely submission of month-end financial and operational reviews, contribute to the development of and participation in corporate-wide strategic planning efforts.
- Communication: Communicate circumstances and events of operations to supervisor and other appropriate people to keep all apprised.
- Financial Objectives: Achieve budgeted financial objectives, increase revenues and income before inter-company allocations, maintain or decrease the effective bad debt rate, achieve the margin percentage, and implement operating cost controls in the areas of staffing, supplies, purchased services, etc.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree is preferred.
- Experience: Currently working as a behavioral health executive, i.e., Executive/Director or CEO.
- Knowledge: A working knowledge of behavioral health management practices and clinical operations, an advanced knowledge of state and federal regulatory and various accreditation requirements related to behavioral health management, and working knowledge of operations and financial management and marketing methods.
- Travel: Ability to travel a minimum of 10% of the time.
