Industrial Maintenance Technician Role

OmniSource is seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to join its team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and performing electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic tasks to ensure maximum production.

Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform preventative and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime and optimize production.
  • React to equipment breakdowns and perform facility repairs as needed to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Assist with equipment installation and assembly to ensure proper functioning and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Comply with all safety regulations and perform tasks in a safe and efficient manner to prevent accidents and injuries.
Qualifications
  • Must have a strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge to perform complex maintenance tasks.
  • Must be able to assemble, install, and maintain mechanical systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Must be willing to learn how to operate heavy machinery and equipment to expand your skillset.
  • Must have strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving to effectively collaborate with team members and management.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3-5 years industrial maintenance experience to demonstrate expertise and knowledge.
  • Familiarity with industrial electrical three-phase circuits and schematics to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in comprehending hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams, and mechanical blueprints to perform complex maintenance tasks.
