Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Marine Painter to join our team at AMP United. As a Marine Painter, you will be responsible for applying ultra-high solids paint systems to marine vessels according to specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply ultra-high solids paint systems to marine vessels, adhering to specifications and quality standards.
  • Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and priming as necessary.
  • Work in confined spaces aboard ships to access and paint various areas.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, including those specific to working aboard marine vessels and in government installations.
  • Pass a pulmonary function test and respirator fit test as required.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to coordinate workflow and ensure project deadlines are met.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience painting marine vessels.
  • Experience with ultra-high solids paint systems preferred.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights.
  • Ability to obtain access to government installations.
  • Ability to pass a pulmonary function test and respirator fit test.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Not sensitive to epoxy paint systems or claustrophobic.
  • SSPC C14, SSPC CAS are a plus
