The Wire Transfer Specialist is a key member of the Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corp team, responsible for performing operational support duties of the Wire Transfer Department under general supervision. This role requires attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Validate the authenticity of wire requests by verifying customers' signatures and account balances, and confirm wire details over a recorded telephone line.
- Process wire transfer instructions through the Wire Transfer and SWIFT systems, ensuring accurate and timely execution of payments to correspondent banks.
- Analyze wire information to resolve customer issues and maintain accurate records of wire transactions.
- Stay up-to-date with regulatory changes and departmental policy updates to ensure compliance and efficiency in daily operations.
Requirements:
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), Internet, and Wire Systems
- Ability to work in a dynamic, high-monetary risk environment governed by established deadlines and regulatory requirements
- Good communication skills and the ability to multitask
